Ever since she was a little girl, Vanessa dreamed of participating at the Olympics, winning medals while representing her country. This dream “came to life” when Vanessa was summited to be the part of Austria’s synchronized swimming Olympic team.
Unfortunately, this dream was interrupted by the accident Vanessa had as a pedestrian during the European games. Vanessa suffered severe injuries of SCI Th11, Asia A.
After months spent in Austria’s and numerous European and American recovery clinics, Vanessa came to Glavic Clinic where her strong athletic spirit and perseverance came to the fore with hours that she spent exercising on various robotic devices for robotic neurorehabilitation.
It was her perseverance, despite the difficult diagnosis, that led Vanessa to do her first steps with the help of orthosis and a low walker … her first steps after a serious accident that she has suffered.
Thanks to her athletic spirit, great effort, and neurorehabilitation on various robotic devices, Vanessa is now much more stable in her torso and is more independent in her daily routine tasks, which was one of the main goals of her therapy and steps towards independent life.
